Relativity…. It’s not just physics

I like PG movies... a lot. They are fun, easy to understand, always end well, men are handsome, women are pretty and they make you feel that life is good. But the thing I like most about them is that they are clear… crystal clear, the good guy is tall, handsome, knows that he is good and ALWAYS acts accordingly. The bad guy is creepy with an awful look and a bad smell, throw in a hunched back and a few lost teeth and you get yourself a perfect diabolic character, someone to hate along the movie, he’s well oriented about his role and ALWAYS acts accordingly. So here you are, everything is clear, sharply demarcated and made easy for you without much work or figuring out on your behalf. Piece of cake, love the good guy, hate the bad guy, and we are done.
It is a shame that life doesn’t follow in the same lane, it would have been much easier. Imagine life in an improved version with no mess ups, no detours, no bad relations, no incorrect answers, no bad decisions or even no wars. Yet this is not the case, if something is worth the word hazy it is life.
Early in life it is easy, you consider your guardians to be good, everyone else is bad and that’s it. As you grow, make your own way in life and take your decisions you come to realize that life is not that way. Life is not white and black only, there are a lot of grades of gray in between. So you look at things relative to each other, someone can be considered a hero compared to another individual not because he's pure good but rather because that other individual is pure evil.
Moreover, no one is white -if such state exists- all the way. Every situation is independent and people tend to act accordingly, there are many interfering factors and personal interests that go along the way. Also you look at things from your own perspective and definitely you get biased depending on your previous experiences, preferences and -yea why not- interests, that is no fault of you that is because you are human, and that's what humans do: we see things our way, we judge them differently and we differ in opinion so we get a nasty state of relativity even nastier than physics relativity because physics doesn't have a personal opinion and doesn't have personal interests, does it??
Another point to consider is that good people are not necessarily good looking-although it would be a nice bonus if they were-. Looks can be deceiving, in fact they are deceiving most of the times as evil needs looks to get its way, so first impressions... not recommended, judging a book by its cover... bad for your health, and things are usually not the way they look.
So when you deal with life remember that good is good but not divine, evil is evil but not diabolic, once good is not always good, things are never absolute, they are prone to different points of view, and it's always... relative.
